An experience that takes you to discover Barcelona’s wharf. During the tour, you will get closer to the traditional work of fishermen, where you will discover the answers to questions about the fish we eat. You will learn about different fishing techniques and responsible and sustainable consumption of fish, such as the appropriate measures to take when it comes to buying or identifying edible, but non-commercial species. During the tour, you will see the fishing boats returning from the sea with the fresh catch of the day, an experience that you will remember for many years to come. After this, we will visit the wholesale fish market. There you will learn all the secrets of the distribution of fresh fish in Barcelona and see the great biodiversity of fish and shellfish in the Mediterranean Sea. You will become aware of the problems of plastic consumption in the sea with a practical workshop. We will finish with an appetizer made from a local sea product.

From Monday to Friday at the following three hours: from 8 am to 10 a.m., from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in summer or 12 to 2 p.m. in winter (in this time you won’t be able to visit fish trade market, just a simulation) , and from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. From April to mid-May, visits are made only at 8:00 am; and in December and January, visits are made only at 15:30 pm.

GENERAL CONDITIONS:
– Group: min 10 ppl.
– VAT is not included in prices.
– Languages: Catalan, Spanish, and English. We might be able to accommodate for other languages at a higher rate.
– 50% of payment must be done at least one month in advance of booking, other 50% percent must be done, at least one day before the event.
– You will get a certificate for having done a sustainable experience or activity.
– You will get photos and a short video as a souvenir.
– If it rains, the event will be done with an umbrella or it will be scheduled for another day.

The client has the right to cancel the contract without reason, with written notice to green events. In such cases, the client will be responsible for the following cancellation fees:
Additionally, the client can reduce the number of participants by 10% without reason, with written notice to green events, up to 5 days before the event.
